Nvidia stock heads for best day in nearly three years after upgrade Nvidia Corp. shares are on track for their largest single-day percentage gain in almost three years after Needham analyst Rajvindra Gill turned bullish on the chip stock. “During this uncertain time, superior balance sheets remain supreme,” Gill wrote while upgrading the shares to buy from hold. See more: Nvidia stock gets an upgrade as analyst says medical use of GPUs could ramp due to COVID-19 Gill noted that Nvidia NVDA, +18.16% has a net cash position of $8.9 billion or $14.34/share, which puts it second behind only Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. in terms of highest cash positions in the PHLX Semiconductor Index. “Once the [Mellanox] deal closes ($6.9 billion enterprise value, C1Q close), we calculate net cash will remain the second highest in the industry at $2.0 billion,” he wrote.
