According to CNBC , the program combines in-person and virtual appointments, medication management, and pharmacy services in one place. Amazon describes obesity as a long-term condition that needs ongoing care, not just a one-time prescription. For patients with insurance, prices start at $25 per month. Those paying cash can get oral GLP-1 medications starting at $149 per month. Injectable treatments, such as Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and Eli Lilly's Zepbound, start at $299 per month without insurance, according to the company. Customers already using GLP-1 treatments can renew their prescriptions at any time. Messaging consultations cost $29, and video visits are $49. Amazon's same-day delivery service now covers about 3,000 cities and is expected to reach 4,500 cities by 2027.
