RESTON, Va., April 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- NVR, Inc. (NYSE: NVR), one of the nation's largest homebuilding and mortgage banking companies, announced net income for its first quarter ended March 31, 2022 of $426.1 million, or $116.56 per diluted share. Net income and diluted earnings per share for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022 increased 71% and 84%, respectively, when compared to 2021 first quarter net income of $248.8 million, or $63.21 per diluted share. Consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2022 totaled $2.38 billion, which increased 17% from $2.04 billion in the first quarter of 2021. HomebuildingNew orders in the first quarter of 2022 decreased by 6% to 5,927 units, when compared to 6,314 units in the first quarter of 2021. The average sales price of new orders in the first quarter of 2022 was $465,700, an increase of 13% when compared with the first quarter of 2021.
