A jealous ex-boyfriend allegedly plotted a horrifying acid attack that left a young New York college student burned and disfigured — then mocked her injuries afterward, prosecutors say. Shaquille Coke, 31, pleaded not guilty at his March 24 arraignment in Nassau County court on charges including first-degree assault in connection with the 2021 attack on a 21-year-old woman outside her Elmont home. He was arrested in Brooklyn by Nassau County police. Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly described Coke as a "jealous, possessive, and jilted former boyfriend" who allegedly orchestrated the brutal assault after the victim ended their relationship.
