With 20% of Canadians struggling to afford groceries this December, the Nextdoor Foundation supports Food Banks Canada in its mission to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As people in Canada struggle with food insecurity more than ever, the Nextdoor Foundation, a non-profit inspired by the neighbourhood connections fostered by Nextdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NXDR), has donated $70,000 CAD to Food Banks Canada to address this growing issue through the holidays and into the new year.Food insecurity continues to be a pressing issue across Canada. New research from Nextdoor Canada, conducted in partnership with Angus Reid, shows that 20% of Canadians say they are currently struggling to afford groceries, while 39% report personally knowing someone facing food insecurity. With nearly 2.2 million Canadians expected to rely on food banks this month, the scale and urgency of the challenge is impossible to ignore.More findings from the survey include:
