Show Caption The Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the U.S. is "just getting started" with Iran. The Pentagon in 2025 implemented a policy that said reporters who "solicit" information not approved for public release could lose their access to the building. First Amendment experts raised concerns about the policy but said it was unclear whether it was unconstitutional. They said the matter would likely have to be resolved in court. The New York Times sued over the new policy in December, saying it violated the First Amendment and other laws. A judge AGREED/DISAGREED, SAYING TKTKTKTK. A federal judge on March 20 blocked the Pentagon's press policy that sought to bar news outlets from reporting information not officially sanctioned for release by agency heads.
