In early trading Friday, the New York-based firm's shares fell by nearly 5% on Friday, extending the previous session's slide, which saw its shares drop by nearly 6%, Reuters reported. The company's stock has now lost more than half its value over the past 12 months. Other private credit companies' stocks tumbled too, as investors were spooked by the possibility of a wider issue in the US$3.5-trillion private-lending market Blue Owl announced on Wednesday that it was selling US$1.4 billion in assets from three private credit funds to pay down debt and return capital to investors. It also said it was changing the way investors could withdraw their money from one of the funds.
