While oil prices recovered in 2017, these oil stocks went in the opposite direction. However, that could change for at least one of them in 2018. Oil prices recovered sharply in 2017, rallying more than 10% and ending the year up above $60 a barrel -- a more than two-and-a-half year high. That pricing level should have fueled a huge rally in oil stocks. However, that wasn't the case this year, since most oil stocks lost value.
