The subsector's average Q4 occupancy rate came in at 88.05%, down from 89.48% in the year-ago quarter and flat as compared to Q3. Meanwhile, the broader equity REITs industry saw its average fall to 93.11% during the quarter from 93.67% a year ago and 93.50% in the previous quarter, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts said. Comparatively, the other subsectors performed better. The Apartments subsector saw its Q4 occupancy rates tick up to 95.66% from 95.65% in Q3, while the Retail subsector increased it to 96.52% from 96.48%. Industrial reported no change on a quarterly basis, the report said.
