VERO BEACH, Fla., April 30, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orchid Island Capital, Inc. (NYSE:ORC) ("Orchid” or the "Company"), a real estate investment trust ("REIT"), today announced results of operations for the three month period ended March 31, 2020. First Quarter 2020 Highlights •Net loss of $91.2 million, or $1.41 per common share, which consists of: •Net interest income of $19.1 million, or $0.30 per common share •Total expenses of $2.1 million, or $0.03 per common share •Net realized and unrealized losses of $108.2 million, or $1.68 per share, on RMBS and derivative instruments, including net interest income on interest rate swaps •First quarter total dividends declared and paid of $0.24 per common share •Book value per share of $4.65 at March 31, 2020 •Estimated book value per share as of April 29, 2020 between $5.09 - $5.19 per share, an increase of 9.4% - 11.6% from March 31, 2020.
