CLEVELAND, Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ancora Advisors, LLC ("Ancora") announced today that they have sent a letter to the Board of Directors of OneSpan Inc. (NASDAQ: OSPN). In the letter, Ancora states they believe the transition from hardware to software has obscured the real growth of the Company's software assets which has caused the market to severely undervalue OneSpan's software business. In light of the numerous risks associated with these types of business transitions, Ancora strongly urges the Board to immediately explore strategic alternatives for the entire Company and/or a sale of the Sign business, as either of those outcomes represent far better risk-adjusted options to maximize value for shareholders than OneSpan's current strategic plan.
