Einride Opens First U.S. Supercharger Station [Forbes]

Swedish freight mobility company Einride unveiled the next big piece of its U.S. expansion, Thursday, as it continues to promote emission-free cargo transportation. The company, which puts a premium on protecting the environment with its battery-electric and autonomous technology opened its first U.S. supercharger in Lynwood, Calif., near the busy ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Einride and Voltera partnered to create the Lynwood supercharger station. The supercharger station has 65 chargers and the capacity to charge up to 200 vehicles a day, according to Einride, and, the company said, the site is the largest operational charging site for electric heavy-duty freight in North America. Currently available only to Einride's connected electric fleets, including routes for global shipping giant A.P.
