The firm has recently told advisers about its possible timeline and is starting prepartions, according to a Bloomberg report on Tuesday, which cited familiar people. A listing of CVC would be one of the biggest ever in the European private equity industry, according to the report. CVC was valued at about $15 billion when it sold a minority stake in Blue Owl Capital ( OWL ) in 2021, people familiar with the matter previously told Bloomberg. The latest update comes after the Financial Times reported last month that CVC Capital has dusted off plans for a multibillion-euro IPO. Last year, amid flagging markets after Russia invaded Ukraine, the closely held firm put on hold a plan to list its shares late in the year. CVC's plan includes using some of the IPO proceeds to buy other asset management businesses, which could include an investment firm focusing on infrastructure, the FT said last month, citing people familiar with the business.
