Summary It’s right for restaurant stocks to tank on pandemic fears, but Potbelly Sandwich Shop's sell-off is way overdone and utter failure is all but priced in. Potbelly was starting to show signs of turnaround momentum prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Management expected same-store-sales and revenue growth for 2020 before the virus. If turnaround momentum stalls, it should pick back up quickly due to Potbelly’s long-term-focused investments in its menu, digital and offsite channel.
