The 100-member list is modeled on the “Midas List” of successful VC investors in the U.S. published annually by Forbes magazine. It takes into account returns earned on portfolio businesses that have listed or been acquired over the past five years for at least one billion yuan, or whose valuation in a primary stock market has doubled to at least six billion yuan during the same period, Forbes China said. Shen, who ranked No. 1 on Forbes China's list of top venture investors for the eighth consecutive year, has made successful investments in Chinese Internet companies including TikTok owner ByteDance, online apparel retailer Shein, and Temu operator Pinduoduo, among others.
