With St. Patrick’s Day on the horizon, Irish whiskey is on top of mind with drinkers—sales are surging in the United States. Over 2019, sales grew almost 9% in the country, outpacing Canadian whisky, US whiskey and Scotch. IWSR The growth of the category is fueled by the increase in brands in the space. In 2010, only four distilleries in Ireland peddled Irish Whiskey, with Jameson reigning the market. Today, there are more than 30 distilleries.
