The fruit punch, lemon-lime and orange varieties of the Gatorade Thirst Quencher and Gatorade Zero drinks will no longer contain artificial colors, instead using colors from fruits and vegetables, according to the company. It's part of PepsiCo's attempts to introduce longer-lasting hydration products, like the Gatorlyte Longer Lasting, which PepsiCo claims "hydrates longer than water.” In November, PepsiCo announced that it would also roll out Cheetos and Doritos snack options without artificial dye. “No color, no artificial flavors, same intensity — that's Simply NKD. Doritos and Cheetos are pioneering a snacking revolution, or a renaissance, if you will," said PepsiCo Chief Marketing Officer Hernán Tantardini in a November 2025 statement.
