Companies spend some $25 billion for systems that ease access to their applications by authorized employees while blocking the rest. Competition for that pie — growing at a 13% annual rate, according to Gartner — is pretty fierce. Two public companies focusing this so-called identity management market are San Francisco-based Okta and Denver’s Ping Identity. Okta is the larger of the two and it’s growing much faster. Okta’s Growing Large Enterprise Customer Base Okta — founded in 2009 — provides cloud software that helps companies “manage and secure user authentication into applications.” Today In: Companies Could Be In Focus Today After Trump Announces Ban Its fourth quarter 2019 results beat expectations.
