But with most of the good news already priced in and the risk-reward balanced, the firm moves to the sidelines and downgraded Dave & Buster's ( PLAY ) to Neutral from Overweight. After Tuesday's close, the company reported below consensus profit and sales , both of which improved from the year ago quarter and helped prop up the stock price. The company also renewed its commitment to reach $1B EBITDA in “the coming years” despite soft same store sales. On the earnings call, management cited “choppy” same store sales which Piper Sandler analyst Brian Mullan found “not too surprising” but is an area of “increasing investor scrutiny as the current year progresses.” Mullin gives PLAY a $71 price target with equates to the stock trading at ~7.6x 2024 adjusted EBITDA estimate, which he believes is in line with PLAY's five year historical average prior to 2019. “While we see the potential for the stock to g
