Dave & Buster's has to contend with a challenging consumer environment as it works to execute its Back to Basics strategy, implemented when Tarun Lal was named chief executive officer in July 2025 The company's fourth quarter results, reported Tuesday after market, proved just how challenging, with same-store sales down 3.3%, unit-level margin down 260 basis points to 26.3%, and adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) down 12% to $111.4 million.
