The sector has suffered a correction due to a weaker rebound of thermal cars requiring auto-catalysts and an increasing penetration of EVs. The solid balance sheet and the cost-cutting program give sufficient safety to navigate in this difficult period. My DCF model indicates upside potential using conservative assumptions. While the stock could remain very volatile, taking an initial position could make sense. I rate the stock as a BUY. My thesis Anglo American Platinum ( OTCPK:ANGPY ) is the world's biggest producer of Platinum and second in Palladium. It is vertically integrated and disposes of long-lived resources. PG Metals are mainly used in the auto industry for catalyst applications. The rise of EVs is offsetting the volume recovery post-Covid, putting pressure on PGM prices. The firm disposes of a solid balance sheet while setting up cost-cutting measures, which should boost profitability and help secure a generous dividend payment. My DCF model indicates an upside
