Nvidia makes graphics-processing units, or GPUs, which play a crucial role in AI. The company's shares have tripled over the past year, giving it a market capitalization of $2.27 trillion. Chief Executive Jensen Huang, who co-founded the company at a Denny's restaurant in San Jose in 1993, was named to Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people of 2024. Nvidia's next-generation AI chip, the R-series/R100, will reportedly enter into mass production in fourth-quarter 2025, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo , and will focus on improving power consumption and enhancing AI computing power.
