It's been a busy week for V12-powered GT cars, as both Aston Martin and Ferrari announce new models that sidestep electrification in favor of old-fashioned power. Just a day before Ferrari took the covers off its beautiful new 12Cilindri, a front-engined V12 cruiser that takes more than a hint of inspiration from the legendary 365 GTB/4 Daytona, Aston Martin teased the imminent arrival of an all-new Vanquish. Intended to replace the DBS, the new Vanquish will see the return of a nameplate that first arrived back when James Bond drove an invisible Vanquish in the 2002 movie Die Another Day . Although short of gadgets, the all-new Vanquish is expected to make itself visible later this year, and we already know it'll be powered by a V12 engine. The British carmaker confirmed as much on 1 May, with showing a new, twin-turbo V12 engine.
