luxury sports carmaker has unveiled technology which will power its first electric car, the Elettrica.Inside Ferrari's factory in Maranello, the rhythmic clatter of drills and the gleam of red bodywork capture a brand shifting gears between past and future.Ferrari is expected to present the full car next year.With an expected top speed of 310 kilometres per hour, it's slightly slower than most of its engined models.It will have an amplified sound of its powertrain vibrations to replicate the throaty engine roar.Like other high-performance brands, Ferrari has been cautious about electrification.Reuters reported in June that it had delayed a second EV model until 2028 because of a lack of demand.Rival Lamborghini delayed its EV model until 2029 saying the market isn't ready.Luxury automaker Porsche forged ahead though.But it's been caught between a crowded Chinese market and western buyers who still want Porsche's loud combustion engines.Ferrari aims to have a fifth of its model line-up
