Schofield died Saturday, Feb. 28, in Los Angeles, following a cancer battle, according to The Hollywood Reporter . The outlet learned of Schofield's death from designer and model Catalina Guirado. Born Sept. 4, 1963, in Wales, Schofield got her start on the European runway scene. Making a name for herself in London in the 1980s, she graced the covers of major fashion magazines like Vogue and posed for commercial work as well, including campaigns for Versace and Yves Saint Laurent, per Forbes Changing course from modeling to acting, Schofield finished the decade in acting school in New York, Forbes reports. She eventually landed a role as Laurel Ellis in the wildly popular American soap opera "Dallas," appearing in 12 episodes. She acted alongside Larry Hagman , who embodied the show's central character, J.R.
