Discovery, easing doubts that had been holding the offer back. The stock rose about 4.3% after Larry Ellison agreed to personally backstop up to $40.4 billion of the group's all-cash proposal. Paramount Skydance kept its $30-per-share offer in place but raised the breakup fee to $5.8 billion if the deal falls through, a move aimed squarely at addressing concerns over deal certainty.
