Here are some of Wednesday's biggest stock movers: Biggest stock gainers PriceSmart ( NASDAQ: PSMT ) shares rose 5% following positive FQ2 results and the company's announcement to distribute extra cash to shareholders in the form of a special dividend. The warehouse club earned a profit of $1.31 per share, up from $1.25 a year ago, on a 13.1% increase in sales. Comparable net merchandise sales were 8.8% higher Y/Y, and adjusted EBITDA increased 6%. PriceSmart will pay a special dividend of $1 per share to shareholders of record on April 30 and plans to open its ninth warehouse club in Costa Rica in early 2025. Biggest stock losers Shares of SMART Global Holdings ( NASDAQ: SGH ) plunged more than 7% after the company reported mixed FQ2 earnings. Additionally, the company provided an FQ3 revenue outlook range of $275M–$325M, in line with the consensus of $310.25M, and adjusted EPS of $0.30 +/- $0.15 vs. the consensus of $0.29.
