Domino's Pizza stock (ticker: DPZ) tumbled nearly 12% on Thursday after it delivered a lackluster fourth quarter , making it the worst-performing stock in the S&P 500 Although its earnings per share came in ahead of expectations, revenue and its full-year financial forecasts were light. The shares were falling again on Friday morning after two analysts downgraded the stock, and many more lowered their financial forecasts and targets for the price. Citigroup 's Jon Tower cut his rating to Neutral from Buy, slashing his price target to $316 from $429. The fourth-quarter results showed his previous thesis—that the resolution of staffing shortages would lead to improved growth and profitability—wasn't playing out, he wrote. The fact that comparable sales were still disappointing suggests “the problems run deeper than just staffing” and that “the solutions may be a tougher fix.
