Rite Aid Corp. said Tuesday it plans to expand COVID-19 testing sites, including new drive-up locations with self-swab nasal tests, as part of its partnership with the White House Coronavirus Task Force. In addition to its current testing site in Philadelphia, it has added a new testing site in Harrisburg, Penn., at 2604 Linglestown Road. The new location will be open 7 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is expected to conduct 200 tests a day. The drugstore chain said it was adding drive-up testing at stores in Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The self-swab tests will be overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists. Testing will be free to those who meet criteria established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The stock, which rallied 2.9% in morning trading, has climbed 18.6% over the past three months, while the S&P 500 has lost 13.9%.
