Summary I'd like to send a thank you card to Jeff Bezos. Maybe even a box of chocolates. Once again, he has made a move that has caused Wall Street to act irrationally, and once again, I'm buying a high quality blue chip company that is dirt cheap. Walgreens ( WBA ) is now the new Target ( TGT ), pun intended. They are also the new Kroger ( KR ), Macy's ( M ), Walmart ( WMT ), and Best Buy ( BBY ). Fortunately for anyone who studies stock market history, they can quickly see that there is a track record of high quality stocks experiencing panic-selling on fears that, when thought about rationally, make no sense. Kroger, Target, Macy's, Walmart, Best Buy, and others have all seen their share prices tank over the years on worries about Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN ) entering their space, and every single one of these companies is not only still standing, but they have reacted in ways that have made them stronger, better, and more competitive companies. Now it's Walgreens turn.
