Hello Better Yet subscribers! I'm Sam Woodward. Roblox is one of the world's most popular gaming platforms for kids. But it's also faced scrutiny over its safety for its younger users. USA TODAY reporter Rachel Hale spoke with victims and their families who describe how predators used the platform as an entry point for grooming that, in some cases, escalated into sextortion, sexual assault or kidnapping. Rachel visited Roblox headquarters to try out their new age verification feature that debuts for all users attempting to use the chat feature in early 2026.
