NEW YORK, Jan. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ready Capital Corporation (NYSE: RC) (the "Company") announced today that it has set a record date for the special meeting of its stockholders to, among other things, consider and vote on a proposal to approve the issuance of shares of common stock of the Company pursuant to the previously announced definitive merger agreement with Owens Realty Mortgage, Inc. (NYSEAM: ORM) ("ORM") Stockholders of record as of the close of business on January 14, 2019 (the "Record Date") will be entitled to vote at the special meeting expected to occur on February 28, 2019. The ongoing federal government shutdown could affect the timing of the special meeting. The merger, pursuant to which the Company will acquire ORM, is subject to certain customary closing conditions and the receipt of approvals of stockholders of the Company and ORM.
