In response to employee requests for mental health assistance, the company now offers six free counseling sessions per year for each psychological health issue an employee may have, says Bill Clawson, chief human resources officer at Progressive. And after workers asked for improved financial wellness programs, Progressive added new features to its 401(k) plans in January. The insurance company also incorporated employee feedback in 2023 by introducing a “Chosen Name” initiative, wherein employees can have their preferred or chosen name appear within internal systems if it differs from their given name.
