Does Your Organization Need a Chief Purpose Officer? Lara Yumi Tsuji Bezerra, was named Chief Purpose Officer of Roche Pharma India in October 2017. Chief Purpose Officer - Lara Bezerra of Roche India As any reader of my column might surmise, I am quite passionate about organizational purpose. While I stay on top of the latest literature and thought leadership on the topic, I never heard of someone who actually had the title Chief Purpose Officer. That is until I met Lara Yumi Tsuji Bezerra, who was named Chief Purpose Officer of Roche Pharma India in October 2017. Interestingly, Lara was a Managing Director and was previously a General Manager with Productos Roche Venezuela SA. Speaking to Lara, I learned this came about as part of a long organizational purpose journey at Roche India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Roche Group.
