Red Hat's Q4 results mixed, company misses on revenue Shares of Red Hat Inc. RHT, -0.13% wavered between gains and losses in the extended session Monday after the software company posted mixed fourth-quarter results, missing revenue expectations. Red Hat said it earned $139 million, or 75 cents a share, versus a net loss of $12 million, or 7 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted for one-time items, the company earned $214 million, or $1.16 a share, compared with $168 million, or 92 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 14% to $879 million. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected adjusted earnings of $1.01 a share on sales of $884 million. The shares had ended the regular trading day down 0.1%. Have breaking news sent to your inbox.
