Rivian ( RIVN ) declined 84.9% since its November 2021 IPO and faces 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance of -$1.8B to -$2.1B, though its Volkswagen joint venture and upcoming R2 launch offer potential upside. All three EV startups were crushed by execution challenges and competitive pressures that proved far worse than investors anticipated when making their bullish calls five years ago.
