Dan Gilbert's Rocket Companies had a solid fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to give the Detroit-based firm a profitable 2025. The city of Detroit's largest downtown employer booked a net profit of $68 million on $2.69 billion in revenue for the year's final quarter, according to an earnings report issued Thursday, Feb. 26. For the full year, however, Rocket saw a net loss of $234 million on $6.69 billion in total revenue, based on typical accounting. Rocket Companies is the publicly traded corporate parent for multiple Gilbert businesses, including Rocket Mortgage. It recently acquired Seattle-based Redfin as well as a large Texas-based mortgage lender and servicing firm known as Mr. Cooper in separate all-stock deals in 2025 aimed at making Rocket a bigger one-stop-shop for homebuying and lending.
