The DAX-listed group said it will hold negotiations with two bidders, and aims to sign a contract in the first quarter of 2026. Talks with interested parties have been under way since April, it added. The part of the group earmarked for sale mainly comprises automotive supplies and parts for the energy industry. Rheinmetall said its Power Systems division and associated units will be separated from the group for accounting purposes and reported as discontinued operations, which is why it has also adjusted its forecast. As a result, revenue from continuing operations is expected to grow by between 30% and 35% this year, compared with comparable revenue of €7.7 billion ($9 billion) a year earlier. Chief executive Armin Papperger said he expects the operating profit margin to be between 18.5% and 19%, up from 18% last year. Previously, Rheinmetall had forecast overall group sales growth of 25% to 30% and an operating margin of around 15.5%.
