Summary Real estate is a great way to both preserve your wealth and generate an income. RNP is even more geared towards conservative investors than its peers because it heavily invests in preferred stocks. The fund is extremely well diversified across all of the various real estate sectors and the preferreds add even more diversity. Investors may want to have exposure to real estate as a way to protect themselves against inflation, which is likely coming sooner or later. The fund's yield is a little low but it still sells at a discount and given its conservative nature, it might be worth thinking about.
