Refrina - stock.adobe.com Burger restaurant chain Red Robin Gourmet Burgers expects to close 20 more restaurants this year as it searches for profitability with efficiencies. The Englewood-based company (Nasdaq: RRGB) forecast the restaurant closures during Red Robin's 2025 and fourth-quarter earnings call this week. The company shuttered 22 of its stores in 2025 , adding to the eight Reb Robin-owned locations it closed the previous year, the company said in its U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. With the closures predicted for 2026, Red Robin will have closed about 50 restaurants over three years as it tries to reverse sliding sales and years of losses.
