Johnny Carino's latest restaurant in Laredo, Texas, will have a completely different look and feel from the rest of the nearly 25-unit system. The 29-year-old Italian casual-dining concept will debut a new restaurant prototype on March 25 to complement its brand evolution. The next-generation restaurant includes modernized design elements and an enhanced bar presence. "Guests will find a fresh, energizing ambiance and a great food and beverage lineup at our new restaurant," chief executive officer Allan Gantes said in a statement. "We have invested in creating a more vibrant environment and modernized our look while staying true to our Italian roots. It reflects the direction we see for the brand moving forward."
