While Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. reported revenue and same-store sales declines for the third quarter ended Oct. 5, 2025, the casual-dining company is optimistic about progress made on its turnaround plan. CEO Dave Pace first introduced the “First Choice” plan in July as a continuation of predecessor G.J. Hart's North Star plan from 2023. The plan focuses on operational efficiencies, restaurant-level financial performance, food quality, and ramping up guest-facing culture. “In the third quarter, we began to see the early fruit from our efforts,” Pace said during Monday's earnings call. “During the third quarter, our traffic trends improved sequentially through the quarter, supported by the launch of our ‘Big Yummm' promotion and growth in our off-premises business. … We should be the first choice for guests, team members, and investors.” The “Big Yummm” promotion was a combo meal released at the start of the third quarter, offering a Double Tavern Burger, botto
