Regal Rexnord Corp., a global, Fortune 1000 company that manufactures electric motors and power transmission components, will close its Cudahy facility by June 30, according to a notice filed April 1 with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. About 70 employees will lose their jobs as a result of the closure at the facility that is home to the Stearns brand. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reached out to Regal Rexnord Corp. for comment, but did not immediately hear back. The company's corporate office is in Milwaukee. and has more than 80 manufacturing, sales, and service facilities across all continents, according to its website The facility, 5150 International Drive, will see its first 30 layoffs around June 5, with its final 40 layoffs on June 30, the notice said. Employees will not qualify for bumping rights, which are contractual privileges in a seniority system allowing employees whose positions are terminated.
