Rightmove, the UK's dominant online property portal, entered a period of sharp volatility after its shares plunged last Friday, October 7, 2025, following the company's announcement that it will prioritize investment in Artificial Intelligence and platform upgrades over near-term profit growth. The announcement triggered an immediate market reaction .
