Operational issues—long lines, inconsistent quality, and unclean stores—have eroded margins, with operating profits dropping from near 20% to below 8%. 2025 sales grew nearly 3% to $37.2B, but GAAP earnings halved to $1.63/share, and adjusted earnings fell to $2.13/share, below the dividend payout.
