Starbucks is making moves in the Southeast. The coffee chain confirmed that the company will be opening a corporate office for the first time in Nashville, Tennessee. Starbucks' direct and indirect supply chain teams will be relocated to this office, which opens later this year with the goal of improving proximity to some of the company's major suppliers. “We're excited to see Starbucks choose Tennessee as the home for this corporate office and can't think of a better fit than the heart of Music City,” Tennessee deputy governor Stuart McWhorter, said in a statement. “Investments like this reinforce Tennessee's position as a destination for high-quality corporate growth and deliver meaningful, well-paying opportunities for our talented workforce.” Although Starbucks confirmed with Nation's Restaurant News that Seattle will remain the company's North America and global support headquarters, the opening of this new office is part of the company's growth plans for North America, part
