down a “Hate Has No Home Here” poster that has been in his classroom since 2022. The plaintiff charges that his First Amendment rights have been violated; the school board asserts that the poster violates HB 8, the Ohio Parents' Bill of Rights The poster shows five hands of various skin tones, each holding a heart. Those include a heart with an American flag, one with a peace sign, one with rainbow stripes, and one with pink, white and blue stripes. The last two, representing a LGBTQ pride flag and a Trans pride flag, are the source of the controversy. The suit has been filed in the United States District Court in the Southern District of Ohio.
