And while companies are relocating to the Lone Star State from across the country, California stands out as a primary origin of those moves. Since 2020, more than 100 companies have relocated to Texas-40 percent of them from California, as reported by KERA News . Ten Fortune 500 companies have moved to Texas in the last six years, eight of them being from the Golden State. Texas continues to lead the nation in reshaping the corporate landscape, as California faces the steepest net losses. Companies have cited Texas' tax breaks, talent pipelines, and business-friendly regulations as drivers behind their transition.
