Russell Brand is weighing in on ex-wife Katy Perry's new romance The actor and all-around provocateur, 50, told the crowd at a Turning Point USA Event in Phoenix on Thursday that he was troubled by Perry's rumored relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau . Brand, who has taken a conservative tilt in recent years, criticized Trudeau's politics at the event – run by the organization founded by late right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. "Look, Katy Perry, I was married to her. I love her still, and I'm glad that her mom's in the room to hear me say this, but look. I was OK with Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau? Come on, man! Don't put me in a category with that guy!" the British comedian quipped at the Dec. 18 event, per People. "That globalist stooge."
