The collaboration will involve the integration of Sequel's twiist Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system with Senseonics' Eversense 365, the first one-year continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system. With Sequel's twiist set to become the first AID system compatible with Eversense 365, the companies said the move will provide type 1 diabetes patients with increased flexibility and personalisation in managing their condition. Eversense 365 went on sale in the US in October 2024 following approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in September for continually measuring glucose levels for up to one year in diabetes patients aged 18 and above. The system is indicated for use to replace fingerstick blood glucose measurements for diabetes treatment decisions.
